Our house, in the hamlet "Il Contadino", was built by Grandfather Alighiero at the beginning of the 20th century and it's made up of three apartments, lovingly brought to life through many weekends of hard work.
The Rooms
In the autumn of 2009 the actors of the German film “The End is My Beginning” came to stay in the house during filming. A film set in our hamlet in front of our house.
The Territory
Orsigna is an enchanting place. Set in the Appenine mountains of Pistoia, it is a small village with 61 inhabitants, famous round the world for Tiziano Terzani’s unbridled passion for these places.

Orsigna is an enchanting place. Set in the Appenine mountains of Pistoia, it is a small village with 61 inhabitants, famous round the world for Tiziano Terzani’s unbridled passion for these places. Here the attraction of the chestnut woods and the simple world, governed by the seasons and mountain activity, has remained intact. Our house, in the hamlet "Il Contadino" at 1 km from the village, was built by Grandfather Alighiero at the beginning of the 20th century. It is made up of three apartments, lovingly brought to life through many weekends of hard work, by myself and a few close friends with a love for the mountains and for the simple things in life.

Pick raspberries in summer, chestnuts in winter – go walking on the gravel bed of the Orsigna stream – hiking routes – meditation – relax – guided tours of the trees with Tiziano Terzani's eyes.

Trips to the CAI lodge at Portafranca – to Scaffaiolo lake – to Abetone and to Porretta Terme.
Eat typical products made with care and passion by the chef Leonardo at the “Molino di Berto” (Berto mill). -
Horse rides - visit Giamba mill (Molino) that still produces the famous chestnut flour of Orsigna, at one time the primary source of nourishment of the inhabitants.
